Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India (FDPPI) a premier Data Protection organization in India has been conducting a program for Certification of Data Protection Professionals in India.
Currently the training program is being conducted on the basis of Indian law in the form of DPDPA 2023 reaad along with ITA 2000.
As part of its Mission-DPDPA initiative, FDPPPI has made changes to the pricing of its online course based on recorded videos.
Essentially, any professional can register for the examination by paying an examination fee of Rs 25000/- and try to qualify as C.DPO.DA.
Those who take examination directly will be provided a book of materials but are advised to also refer to the book, “Privacy Guardians…by Naavi”
However, FDPPI will provide access to videos for self paced learning on a subscription basis with option to schedule a mentor session also. The pricing of these virtual courses are on subscription basis where the student can pick up 2 months subscription at a time.
The cost of subscription for the first 2 months would be Rs 15000/-. Extension by 2 months each time would be available at 50% of the basic price and would be Rs 7500/- for each extension. Mentor sessions can be scheduled for 90 minutes each time to get clarified on doubts which will be taken by a faculty of FDPPI/Cyber Law College at a price of Rs 2500/- per session.
In addition to this, the offline programs will be conducted at different prices which will be announced from time to time.
FDPPI’s Certification program includes an in-depth discussion on the Indian Law, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, DIFC-DPL and Singapore data protection law to provide a firm foundation in Data Protection laws across the globe for the participants.
Additionally the program discusses an exclusive Data Governance and Protection for Indian Corporates from the perspective of implementation for compliance and certifiable audit. The framework based on the Digital Governance and Protection Standard of India (DGPSI) is a framework of 50 implementation specifications and leads to an evaluation of Data Trust Score (DTS) as a reflection of the compliance maturity of an organization.
The main faculty for the program would be Naavi.
After the program all participants will be issued participation Certificates. Interested participants can take an online examination for being certified as “Certified Data Protection Professional”.
